STAY FOCUSED, SAINT

Today, the temptation to be pulled away from our mission as Christians is stronger than ever. What you are talking about today is what you are focused on today. What you have texted, emailed, or posted today is what you are focused on today. What you have tuned in to and taken in is what you are focused on today.

If you have tuned out of the developing narrative of this world (which is not our home), well done, faithful servant. If you are making time through this day to talk to the Commander and Chief of your soul, well done, faithful servant. If you have taken time to take in the inerrant, inspired, eternal Word of God, well done, faithful saint. If you have shared Jesus, or shared His Word, well done, faithful servant. The non-believing world, and the distracted Christians of our day, need to see undistracted, unwavering faith in Jesus lived out.

2 Timothy 2:1–4 "You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please Him who enlisted him as a soldier."
